What is a Preachers’ Refresher?
Preachers’ Refreshers with The Timothy Trust are a retreat for men in ministry, to refresh the preacher and his preaching. They include workshops on biblical exposition, training on various genres, and special Q&A sessions on expository preaching.
Preachers’ Refreshers give men in ministry the unique chance to gather with others in their region who are involved in the ongoing task of Bible ministry. They provide opportunities within a retreat setting for preachers to give focused attention to the work of preparing and delivering sermons from various Scriptural books.
The workshops are designed for men to do some introductory preparation on a Biblical passage, present them in a relaxed, group setting, and receive feedback from their group and trained facilitators. These are not intended to be polished talks or exhaustive treatments of the passage. They are preliminary thoughts on the big idea of the passage and the structure.
The Timothy Trust is committed to bringing in seasoned and qualified instructors and speakers to provide refreshing and insightful content for preachers to take back to their ministries. Refreshers allow registrants to connect and network with others in the ministry, enjoy time away, relax, and give focused thought to the discipline and priority of expository preaching.
